Bug in Quick connect credentials

Hello,
as I already reported some time ago (but it was replied as not reproduced) I took a video of bug in Quick connect credentials. As you can see in the beginning, I have "penvra2" at last row of quick connect as I have already connected to this machine during ASG session. at the time of first connection I have used credentials None.

When I wanted to connect to penvra2 again, selecting LS\0marekleo credentials and pressing enter, it jumped back to None.

could you fix this please?

"Schaltflächen anpassen" ??

Hallo,


ich wollte doch tatsächlich die Tage mal (nachdem ich das Programm und seine Vorläufer schon seit gefühlt mindestens 10 Jahre benutze ...) einen der Toolbars oben anpassen. Allerdings stelle ich mich entweder zu dumm an oder es ist nicht intuitiv oder es ist etwas kaputt.


Ich gehe also bei einem der Toolbars auf "Anpassen". Dann kommt der Dialog.
Aber unter dem Reiter Befehle ist alles leer?
Kann mich bitte jemand erleuchten, wie das funktioniert?

Active Directory - Manual Folders?

Hi

I'm trying out the Active Directory sync option.
Is it possible to move connections around to different folders within that synced folder, and then, on re-synchronization, they stay in that folder?
Currently it looks like that the subfolders get deleted, and the servers all move back to the "root" folder on synchronization.

Our AD does not really have a hierarchy for computers, but it would be helpful to create a hierarchy in ASG RD.

[Fixed] Keyboard lags when ASG-2019 is opened

ASG RemoteDesktop 2019 version 12.0.6279.1
Windows 10 Version 1809 Build 17763.737

After a while, keyboard starts being slow - the text is written slower than I type. When I close down ASG application, it goes away, but opening ASG again, even without opening any sessions, the keyboard lagging behind me typing is immediate.

Closing ASG and using MS RDP to access systems, I don't get any lag whatsoever.

A complete reboot of the computer resolves the issue, until slowly it starts acting up again - may take hours or days (laptop sets to sleep mode)

Vererben von Anmeldeeinstellungen klappt nicht

Hallo,







wir nutzen ASG Remote Desktop 2019 Patch 5 (12.0.6469.1).







Als Administrator habe ich auf höchster Ebene unter "Verbindungen" die Anmeldeeinstellungen auf "Persönliche Daten" gestellt und dort die Credentials eingetragen.



Es gibt unterhalb des Ordners "Verbindungen" dann noch bis zu 3 Ebenen darunter.







Das Ganze sieht dann so aus:

In der Ordnerebene3 sind nun alle RDP oder sonstige Verbindungen. Alle Ordnerebenen haben in den Anmeldeeinstellungen "Vererbte Daten" eingetragen. Wenn ich nun auf Ebene3 eine RDP Verbindung mir anschaue ist dort auch bei den Anmeldeeinstellungen "Vererbte Daten" eingetragen.







Nun kommt das Problem. Beim Administrator funktioniert dies ohne Probleme. Bei Usern die in einer anderen Gruppe sind funktioniert dies komischerweise nicht. Bei diesen Usern steht NUR auf den RDP Verbindungen "Standard Daten".







Ordnerebene3 sieht so aus:

Die Verbindungen unten drunter haben ALLE das hier drinne stehen bei den Anmeldeeinstellungen:

Da ich nicht jedem User sagen kann er soll bei jeder Verbindung die Anmeldeeinstellungen anpassen, suche ich nach einer vernünftigen Lösung. Es sind jenseits der 200 verschiedenen Verbindungen die in den Ordnerebenen3 zu finden sind. Diese können nicht von den Usern alle angepasst werden.



Haben Sie eine Idee woran es liegt?

migration 2012 -> 2019 über RDE(XML)

Hallo,
leider klappt die Migration nicht so wie geplant über die SQL Verbindung(firewall),deshalb würde ich gern die alte Umgebung mit der Methode:
"Import einer RDE Datei(interne XML Datenstruktur)" übernehmen.

vorher ASG 2012 mit SQL Express
NEU ASG 2019 mit SQL SERVER

Leider bietet mir ASG 2012 diese Option gar nicht an?

Wie lautet nun der Migrationsweg? über ASG 2017?
oder wie kann man .VRSB Dateien Importieren(der Export ist ja kein Problem)?

mitleirweile habe ich das hinbekommen,über den Umweg ASG 2017 DB import und .RDE export,sowei dann RDE DAtei import

Leider lassen sich weitere Verbindungen anderer weiterer ASG Remotes nicht importieren...BUG?
Über Import>CSV>syn..und importiere DAten die nicht existieren werden keine Verbindungen importiert...

hier jemand eine Idee?

2019 version, turn off auto reconnect in VNC

I had a few users ask about turning off auto reconnect in a VNC connection.
I checked through the menus and couldnt determine where the auto reconnect it.
I did find a Reconnect option under Tools/Settings/User Specific/Connections/Reconnect Settings

Reconnect sessions in the same window/tab (this is unchecked)
Retry connecting if connection fails (set to default 'Retry button')

As a test I went into a machine via VNC connection, then rebooted the machine, I instantly got a reconnect prompt , this is what we want to turn off, if possible.

Did I miss the setting someplace?

I just installed ASG-RemoteDesktop 2019 and I have a question about licensing, and I wasn't able to find the answer online:

- How can I obtain a license for the freeware version ? (I want to leave the 30-day trial)
- What are the differences between the free version and the paid version ?

Hi,

I can't seems to get drive redirect to work properly. I use mstsc on the same client connecting to the same remote server and it work fine. Any idea how i can get it work for ASG?

Support for generic Jumphost

Hi,

Does ASG Remote Desktop have support for a generic Jumphost? 

As in: I have a network with servers that I only have a single connection to, and I have to jump from that to the rest of the hosts. The servers is a mix of RDP / SSH / VNC / ICA, so I cannot use the RD Gateway to solve this problem.
I do not want to have a seperate ASG-install for the users to open on this host, but connect (seamlessly with a preconfigured setup) from our management network.

I can try some small ascii-art for clarification:

                                    > Host 3 (to the user, this should be seamless, and they shouldn't need to know about the jumphost)

An unhandled error occured in the application when i right click the connection

Hi,

I am using a X64 ASG version and getting an "An unhandled error occured in the application. You should restart the application to prevent further problems." when i try to right click a connection when signing in as a non administrative user.

I works fine when login using an administrative account and it also work fine on a 2018 x86 version (same DB) installed on a windows 2008 server.

These are the error logs.

Using MS OUTLOOK as an external application - passing switches

Hello.
Using ASG RD 2019 Patch 3.

Have created an external application definition for MS Outlook. However, when creating a connection to use the external application, I can't pass any parameters (switches) to the program, even if they are static.

Am trying to set it to do this windows command:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE" /c ipm.note /m "G=Test email address"

I define the the external application as:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE"

I define the connection to use the external MS-OFFICE application and since it only has field URL for parameters, I have set it as follows:

/c ipm.note /m "G=Test Email address"

When using the connection, it does open the OUTLOOK program but it doesn't pass the parameters.

Anything you could point out as being in error in my definitions? or would the external program won't work under these circumstances ?

Export and Import looses credentials

I am trying to export from my old laptop to my new laptop, however on import, none of the credentials are linked, I can't edit the parent folder to use specific credentials, it's like none of the options are there.  I mam on version 2018.

---EDIT---
I have fixed this issue by doing the following:
"So please right click on the Connection-tree root, select Folder Properties and check the "roles" setting: "Credentials" should be activated"

That solved my problem.

Missing RDP and other protocol options

Everything was working just fine last week, but now I'm noticing that some folders/connections won't let me configure protocol options.  No permission changes were made as far as I'm aware, nor would I have the patience to edit some but not all folders.

As a test I checked each of the folders I've made under the "Connections" section - 20% of them work while the other 80% don't, including the root.  

Working:

Permissions on my security group for both folders tested:

We are very interested in being able to deploy patches and/or ASG-RD versions programmatically including the license in a way similar to issuing a command with a parameter like:
\\Server\Share\ASG\ASGRD_SQLExpress_Setup.exe /License:\\Server\Share\ASG\LicenseFile_123456789.xml
Is there already a way to accomplish this and we just don’t know the parameters or switches to get this done?

RemoteDesktop 2019 & App-V 5.2

Hallo zusammen

hat allenfalls jemand Erfahrung mit RemoteDesktop 2019 und App-V?

Wir haben ein App-V Paket von RemoteDesktop 2019 erstellt und grundsätzlich scheint soweit alles zu funktionieren. Einziges Problem ist, dass immer nach dem Starten von RemoteDesktop 2019 es zwischen 8 und 10 Sekunden dauert, bis die Passwortabfrage bzw. der Status "Connecting" erscheint. Dies aber nur beim allerersten Versuch. Bei allen weiteren Versuchen erscheint die Passwortabfrage innerhalb einer Sekunde. Sobald ich RemotDesktop 2019 dann wieder schliesse und öffne, dauert der erste Versuch wieder die 8 bis 10 Sekunden.

Seltsamerweise zeigt sich dieses Verhalten aber nur unter Windows 10 (Build 1809). Auf einer Citrix Umgebung mit Server 2016 läuft auch der erste Verbindungsversuch schnell ab.

Die Installation von Patch 5 hat leider auch keine Verbesserung gebracht. Ich habe auch alle Integrations Varianten (COM Mode, vollständige Schreiberechte etc.) getestet, das Verhalten ist immer dasselbe.

Weiss evt. jemand wie sich dieses Problem beheben lässt? Ich bin um jeden Hinweis dankbar.
