Input parameter error when connecting to more than ~10+ servers by RDP

Hi,

I'm using RD 2016 latest patch. I connect to a mix of 2008 R2, 2012 R2 and 2016 servers by RDP.

Often when I connect to more than around 10 servers, the next one I try to connect to starts with the usual "Connecting..." message but then errors with the attached error.

The only way to get connected is to logoff one of the existing servers. This is quite frustrating. Is this a connection or memory limitation or something? I've noticed it's usually using around 1GB of RAM approx not sure if this is anything to do with it though.

My machine is Win 8.1 Pro x64 fully up to date with MS patches, 8GB RAM, Core i3.

Any ideas?

Hello, Is there a way to disable administrative option in 2016 version file mode. I know this is doable in DB mode. I would like to know if this is possible in file mode.

I have just renewed our annual license and wondered if there were any specific requirements/instructions for upgrading from 2015 to 2016 update 3 or update 4.

ConnectionIpAddress does not import into ASG 2015

When using a CSV export as a template, to import a new set of servers into a folder, even though the ConnectionIpAddress is populated with a IP Address, when importing back into ASG 2015, the field is not properly populated in the entries imported.

ConnectionName;ConnectionPort;ConnectionUrl;ConnectionIpAddress;ConnectionProtocol
SERVERNAME (111.111.111.111);3389;;111.111.111.111;RDP

Hallo, wir verwenden ASG Remote Desktop 2016 in Verbindung mit Windows 7 / Windows 10.

Leider wird ASG Remote Desktop ein wenig verwaschen bzw. unscharf dargestellt, was sich auch auf die
geöffneten RDP Sessions auswirkt

Gerade bei Notebooks, kann man auf Grund der verschiedensten Auflösung die Anzeige auf 100%, 125% oder 150% einstellen.
Am Besten ist die Darstellung mit 100%. Dann ist jedoch alles so klein, dass man sich sehr schwer beim lesen tut.
Mit 125 bzw 150% wird alles größer aber auch unschärfer.

Öffne ich die RDP Session direkt über die Windows Remotedesktopverbindung so ist alles scharf und klar,
egal welche Einstellung ich verwende (100-125%)

Habt ihr einen Tipp?

VM´s in Benutzung markieren - Mark used vm´s

is there any possibility to show, which vm´s are in use? maybe a tool or sth.?

Hallo, gibt es irgendeine Möglichkeit, die aktuell in Nutzung befindlichen VM´s zu markieren/anzuzeigen? Evtl. ein sep. Tool oder ähnliches?

Favoriten verwaist

Wir verwenden das Produkt ASG Remote Desktop 2016 Version 9.0.5385.0.
Uns ist aufgefallen, dass wir die Favoriten nicht löschen können. Nun ist es auch dazugekommen, dass nicht mehr verfügbare Verbindungen in den Favoriten verwaist sind.
Wie können wir diese verwaisten Favoriten löschen?

Eigenschaften nach CSV-Import

Hallo,

wir haben eine leere Datenbank mit der aktuellen ASG-RD 2016-Version erstellt und dort einige Verbindungsparameter von der "alten" Installation per CSV importiert. Die Verbindungen wurden alle neu angelegt, allerdings fehlen die restlichen Eigenschaften wie Anmeldeeinstellungen, RDP usw. (siehe Screenshot). Ich hätte erwartet, dass diese dann leer wären. Sie sind aber überhaupt nicht vorhanden.

Screenhots - naming and format

Hello all,

Fresh noob here working for a company that uses ASG-RemoteDesktop 2015.

Current version installed: 8.0.5091.0

I would like to know if I can change the screenshot naming convention. 
So far it seems to be: screen_ServerName_DD_MM_YY_hh.mm.ss

Also, can I change from PNG to JPG for default screenshot format?

Schnittstelle zum Starten einer Verbindung mit Credentials

Hallo Zusammen

Unsere Firma ist gerade dabei ein Passwort-Tool zu evaluieren.
Es gibt diverse Tools, aus welchen man mit einem Klick z.B. per RDP/Putty auf ein System verbinden kann, ohne dass man das Passwort aus dem Passwort-Tool eingeben muss. (Beispiel)
Das funktioniert soweit mit Microsoft Remote Desktop und Putty einwandfrei

Unsere Firma verwendet ASG Remote Desktop (mit RDP und SSH).
Wie ich gesehen habe, gibt es für ASG RD auch eine Powershell-Schnittstelle, allerdings habe ich noch keine Funktion gefunden, über welche man eine Verbindung starten lassen kann.

Gibt es eine Funktion, über welche man ASG RD sagen kann, dass er mit einem bestimmten User, Passwort auf einen bestimmten Host (der in ASG vorhanden ist) verbinden soll? Gibt es evtl. einen Parameter oder eine COM-Schnittstelle?

Was ich bereits erfolgreich getestet habe:
1. Im ASG eine RDP Verbindung erstellen mit dem SSO-Flag aktiv.
2. Per cmdkey die Credentials speichern
cmdkey /generic:TERMSRV/hostnameabc /user:domain\user /pass:password
3. Verbinden geht nun ohne Eingeben der Daten.

Wir möchten aber im Passwort-Tool nur auf "Launch Remote Session" klicken können, so dass ASG dann automatisch auf den Server mit den Credentials verbindet. Kann man das irgendwie umsetzen?

Menu auf Registerkarte

Hallo zusammen

Das Kontextmenu bei den Registerkarten ist sehr praktisch. In der Version 2012 hatte ich das als Menu unter der Registerkarte
.png   ASG_menu.PNG (Size: 90.23 KB / Downloads: 3) . Wie bringe ich dies in der Version 2016 dorthin?

das Synchronisieren des VMware Bemerkungsfeldes funktioniert bei mir nur für die Ansicht 'Host und Cluisters', nicht für 'VMs und Vorlagen'.

User Powershell to reset Inheritence

I am writing a script to dynamically update the VisionApp Database via Powershell. One task that I am having a hard time with is resetting the Inheritance, specifically the Credentials. Any help is appreciated.

Using 2016 9.0.5385.0.

diffie-hellman warning threshold

Hello,
I am not sure if this is from upgrading to ASG RD 2017, or what... but for some reason I now get this error when connecting to many cisco devices:

The first key-exchange algorithm supported by the server is diffie-hellman-group1-sha1, which is below the configured warning threshold. Do you want to continue with this connection?

Is there some place to globally change this? Or to adjust the warning threshold?

Datenbankfehler beim Öffnen einer migrierten 2012 Datenbank in 2017

Ich habe die Datenbank unserer 2012-Version nach 2017 migriert.

Das Öffnen der Verbindung dauert sehr lange, dann kommt 2x derFehler
"Beim Ausführen eines SQL_Kommandos ist ein Fehler aufgetreten
LogsRemoveByDaysAndCount"

Die Verbindungen scheinen aber alle da zu sein.

Ich habe verschiedene ohne Erfolg Konstellationen versucht.

Nervt etwas, weil der Start sich so hinzieht.

Upgrade from 2015 to 2017

Hi

We currently use ASGRD 2015 and are planning to upgrade to ASGRD 2017. We use a SQL DB to store our connections so a DB upgrade is advised.

Is a DB upgrade mandatory?

I read that ASGRD 2015 & 2017 can be installed side by side. Does that mean ASGRD 2017 can work with a 2015 DB? Or is a 2017 DB backwards compatible and thus works with ASGRD 2015 clients as well?

Unfortunately I don't have a test environment where I could perform these tests myself...
