Hello,

Some users can not create private credentials, the option is greyed out. I can create private credentials. I have tried giving users full ASG admin rights but it doesn't make a difference.

What are the requirements for creating private credentials.

Hello,

My credentials are working fine and inherit down in the Inherit tab. However other users set their credentials at the same level as me except inheritance does not pass these credentials down. When a server is selected for connection the users user name is present but the pwd field is blank. My credentials pass through fine.

Hi

we currently have 4 individual licenses for 4 users with local environments configured for each user.

we are now migrating everyone onto a shared database version and have noticed that when we do this the license does not move to the new environment and now shows as 30 day evaluation

my question therefore is as follows

once we license the Machine with the DB on will this then show up correctly on all the remotely connected users (will they be licensed with their individual licenses) or do we need to purchase the unlimited site license to utilise DB functionality.

our current set-up looks like

Server Running Windows Server 2016 - ASG Installed with SQL Server - currently on evaluation license
PC 2 Windows 10 - ASG Installed connected to PC 1 DB - was licensed with individual license now showing evaluation
PC 3 Windows 10 - ASG Installed connected to PC 1 DB - was licensed with individual license now showing evaluation

Hi Guys

So I figured out how to use the Powershell API and wanna automate the creation of Connections and Credentials.

I can create The Connection and Credentials, but how do I set the Connection to use the newly created Credentials as Default Values as I would in the GUI:

I haven't been able to pinpoint the cause yet, but for several versions incl. latest update, we regularly experience that some kombination of mouse/keyboard interaction within ASGRD renders the whole ASGRD window "locked", but clicking anywhere outside the ASGRD application (another application, the desktop, the Start Button or Process bar) will "unfreeze" ASGRD.

So it seems like som sort of focus issue.

Have anyone else experienced this?

We run ASGRD on a W2K12 RDS server but also had it on W2K8R2 RDS server.

I can get the API working when starting the 32 bit powershell from the command prompt.

However when running the 32 bit Powershell ISE and doing the same thing it just hangs (tryed running it as Administrator as well)

RD 2016 vs RD 2015 Custom Button actions

ASG RD 2016 (9.0.5385.0) behaves differently than ASG RD 2015 (8.0.4706.1) in how it handles the custom keys on my keyboard and mouse. I currently have both product versions running side by side. I have custom function keys on the keyboard and extra buttons on the mouse. These are manage through the Logitech app and are set to various functions. For example the thumb click button is set to Page-Up, as is a custom button on the keyboard. In RD 2015, I can click the thumb button while holding down the Alt key to switch between two Windows applications on the remote host, similar to the Alt-Tab functionality. In RD 2016, the same action does not do anything. It also does not 'Page up' on a browser or text document. It seems the two version do not manage these extra buttons the same way. The custom button on the keyboard with 'Page Up' assigned exhibits the same results between the versions. If I use the actual 'Page Up' button on the Keyboard when I press Alt, the application switching works.

I have VisionApp 2011 v.7.0.3328.0 installed.

The currently process when a new member joins the team is to install VisionApp and then another colleague export his connection details as a vrb file for the new person to import. Is there away for VisionApp to connect to a Database so that the new colleague can connect to that DB and import all the connection details?

Citrix Connections in ASG RD2015

Hi

I'm using ASG RD2015 (version 8.0.5034.1) and I'm having some problems trying to set-up and configure a Citrix connection. (Up until now, I've only used RDP connections, all of which work fine.)

The Citrix server we're connecting to has a NetScaler server in front of the Xenapp server so i believe that's why the ICA connection doesn't work because it doesn't log directly into the Xenapp server?

I get a warning message saying "Customername": no error Unknown client error 0 and in the background on the connection window it say's "There is no Citrix Xenapp server configured on the specified address"

I have tried setting the connection up as a HTTP\S connection and whilst the web page loads, the credentials do not pass through and from looking at some older posts on this forum this relates to an older version of VisionApp not supporting form based web pages?

How can i go about getting these connections set-up so they work and the credentials pass through?
I'm told that net scaler servers are quite common with Citrix and i'm hoping i'm either not setting it up correctly or this type of connection is fixed in a later version? (the ICA connection or the form based web page connection)

I put all my iDRAC / iLO IP address into ASG-RemoteDesktop 2016 with to connection to https://. If i will connect to the iDRAC / iLO i get the following error:

ich möchte mit der ASG Version 9.0.5385.0 und Win 10 auf unsere Drucker zugreifen (Weboberfläche). Dies funktioniert auch soweit, aber die Zugangsdaten werden nicht übergeben, obwohl vorher alles festgelegt wurde (wie bei allen anderen Verbindungen auch).
Funktioniert diese Art von Anmeldung bei http nicht oder habe ich etwas in den Einstellungen übersehen.

ich wollte wissen ob es möglich ist den Mousover Effekt (sieh Anlage) bei RDP Connections abzuschalten. Grund dafür ist dass diese Info die angezeigt wird ab und zu einfach stehen bleibt. Dann hilft nur noch Logoff und Logon.

Nothing happens when pressing login

Hello,

I've successfully created a ASG database and can login with the admin account that created the DB which is DB-owner.

I've now created a AD-usergroup with full adminrights within AASG and also assigned this usergroup public for database access.

When I create a db Connection within ASG-configuration for the user and press "Test Connection" it works.

However when I try to login by pressing "Login" in the startscreen nothing happens. No error message, no nothing.

Please assist.

als VisionApp Beginner, welches ist die empfohlene VNC Version für die Clients? Welche Einstellungen außer dem Port sind noch zu tätigen ? Speziell bei Mehrbildschirmarbeitsplätzen?

Win10 hält RDP Verbindung nicht offen bei gesperrten Bildschirm

Hallo,

wir haben ASG RD 2016 Version 9.0.5312.1 auf einem Win 10 x64 Build 1607 Rechner. Wir bauen eine RDP Sitzung zu einem Server auf und starten für einen Supporter eine Teamviewer Sitzung (unabhängig ob TV 9,10 oder11). Wenn wir den Win10 PC wo ASG RD installiert ist sperren, welcher die Sitzung hält, dann wird die RDP Sitzung unterbrochen und der Benutzer vom TeamViewer sieht das die RDP Sitzung unterbrochen wurde. Wir haben das auf einem Windows 8 Client getestet wo wir ASG installiert haben und die TV Sitzung auf dem Server gestartet haben. Anschließend haben wir den Win8 PC gesperrt und die TV Sitzung konnte ohne Unterbrechung fortgeführt werden.

Gibt es hier von ASG eine Lösung zu dem Problem?
