Unattended silent Install for ASG VisionApp 2017

Hello,


Looking to see if we can set the install dir and silently install VisionApp to another drive letter other than C:\. As of right now Im able to install silently but when adding Install Path its not accepting the path. Is there an MSI I can use? Also does ASG still support adding a Country license under local machine registry key so that all Citrix/RDS users are licensed? Thanks.

Access to only private credentials

Hi All

How can we set permissions (We have permissions enabled on our install of ASG) so that our admins can only create and view their own private credentials

It seems like we have to enable permissions for public credentials for anyone to even see the credentials root folder.  The problem is we dont want anyone even by accident creating public credentials that other admins might see and be able to use

Any ideas?

Non presistant VDI setup

I have a non presistant VDI setup that I need to install ASG_RD on. I have setup the romaing profile information for the INI file under appdata but still loses the environment setup. Where is the environment setup information stored so I can setup the profile to keep this information.

Smart Card not working

Hello,

we start the published app "ASG Remote Desktop 2016" , start a RDP Connection and get the Smart Card Login window. But after we entered the PIN the logon did not work.
The same problem with ASG Remote Desktop 2012.

Smart Card is working and logon process also - because we have tested a mstsc as a published application over the same terminalserver with the same RDP target and it works perfect.

I have checked your forum - did you test Smart Card Access now?
I have checked the Windows Event Log  - but nothing found.
The ASGRD Connection History Shows only a Connect and 2 minutes later a Disconnect. The Error Log shows nothing.

Please help us.

HTTPS Login Daten

Hallo,

wir haben im ASG Remote Desktop 2017 die IP-Adresse unserer ILO Schnittstelle (HTTPS) hinterlegt und unter Anmeldedaten die Zugangsdaten eingetragen und entsprechend der Verbindung zugewiesen.
Die Zugangsdaten werden aber nicht angenommen von der iLO Webseite.

Wie kann ich die Zugangsdaten hinterlegen, dass diese auch angenommen und die Anmeldung funktioniert?

RDP Gateway

Hallo,

wir benutzen ein RDP Gateway, hinter diesem diesem Gateway hängen 3 rdp Server. Wir möchten uns nun direkt mit den rdp Servern über ASG Remote Desktop verbinden. Wenn man über Windows direkt eine Verbindung herstellen möchte ist das über den /admin hinter der IP bzw. Hostnamen möglich.

Gibt es diese Möglichkeit auch im ASG Remote Desktop?

Would be great if there was an option to connect via IP Address. We have multiple domains and DNS isn't a reliable solution.

with the /S silent option or without the installation does not start.

Below error message from AppEnforce.log
AppProvider::EnforceApp - Failed to invoke EnforceApp on Application handler(0x87d01106).

Bug in quick connect?

Hello,
Id say there is a bug in Quick connect. I have all history settings off but this is what Im experiencing.
I connect to a server via Quick connect using one of my credentials.

Then I want to connect to the same server using different credentials, so I press tab from the server name to credentials field, select my other credentials, press Enter and the server is connecting using the previous credentials (remembered ones).

anyone having the same issue?

Synchronizing Data

We have an application that takes data regarding lots of systems and pushes into VisionApp via the database.  We do this because we have thousands of entries, with adds/changes/deletes to it.  We have been doing this for years.  In examining ASG-RD, it looks like everything has collapsed into a series of 3-4 tables and the data is encoded.  IOW, it looks like how we use to do it isn't possible anymore.

Is there a REST interface/docs that we can use to program folders and entries or has the import/update utility been fixed to allow us to say 'synchronize folders/connection' with the content of the CSV and delete anything not included in the CSV?

Our old integration was bullet proof and we'd like to continue to find a way to use the product w/o manual intervention.

Hello,
where can i find the config-file to deploy v2017 to different clients?


I cant find a file with the information about the Database, environment or anything else.
Our Users cant configure it themselve.

Another point:  I´ve tried to install the software with parameter /S , but nothing happened. After a few hours without a result i tried it again but the same happened (nothing).

Guten Tag

Ich habe eine Lizenz erneuert die neuste Version installiert. 
Jetzt ist eine 30 Tage Evaluierungslizenz aktiv und der Knopf [Neue Lizendatei importieren] ist deaktiviert. Ich nehme an nach 30 Tagen kann ich die Lizenz importieren, aber inzwischen kann ich wegen den Eval-Einschränkungen meine Umgebung nicht exportieren.
Wie kann ich die vollständige Version ohne Evaluierungszeit aktivieren?

RD 2017 Ignoring Credential Setting

I have a folder where I synced connections in my domain. The folder has the Credentials role. I have in 'Default Values' the credentials I want to use for all the objects in that folder. I have single sign on selected.  If I look at any of the servers in the folder, I see that they are inheriting values from the parent folder, and that my credentials are set and single sign on is selected. However, any time I attempt to connect to any of the servers, it attempts to connect with my logged-in user credentials, and not the credentials I specified for the parent folder. What's muddying the waters for me is that, if I select all the objects in the folder, and I look at the credential properties, nothing is defined, and inherited values is not possible. If I change the values there to use my credentials, it does not work. This is very frustrating, as I had an installation of 2015 that was working perfectly, and this 2017 install is proving very troublesome.

ASG-RD 2017 Personal Values Permission

Hello,

I am trying to give our users the ability to set "personal values" under credentials->general for various folders and/or connections but the personal values option is grayed out and they are unable to edit it. I have enabled "Edit (Personal Data)" permissions at the root of our environment (which propagates to all folders) yet they are still unable to set personal values for default credentials. They can set personal values for some of the other properties.

Is there some permission I am missing here?

import from Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager?

Greetings!

I have a large set , in folders, of rdp and ssh connections in the devolutions tool.

How do I move them over to my new ASG setup?

My export options in devolutions tool are shown in shot attached below. I use the local file option in the devolutions tool (not the sql db)

Login with Integrated User uses wrong domain

I recently had to use the Windows 10 "Reset this PC" recovery option, choosing "Keep my files", in order to resolve an issue I was having unrelated to Remote Desktop.  

After I reinstalled Remote Desktop, I'm having issues logging into our environment.  When I login choosing Windows Account, and Integrated checked, it logs me with the wrong user.  

Instead of user@domain.com, it logs me in as user@computername.domain.local.

If I login with Windows Account and uncheck Integrated, then type user@domain.com and password it associates me with the right user.

One other thing I've noticed, the only domain that shows up in the drop down, with Integrated unchecked is the computername(local).  It shows two other domains on other workstations that are working.

Note, I've tried the 64 bit one with the same result.

Cannot connect to RealVNC server

I'm having problems connecting to a RealVNC server.
Whatever authentication mode I try in the connection profile ("VNC" or "Windows"), I'm getting error "Not supported authentication method".
Any ideas what can be done?

RealVNC server version 5.3.2 x64 on Windows x64
ASG-RD 2016 9.0.5385
Component check says: "The internal VNC component is installed and working properly"

Hallo,

ASG Remote Desktop teilte mir beim Start vor einiger Zeit mir, dass es Updates gibt.
Dieses hatte ich heruntergeladen. (v2017 -> v2017 Patch 2)

Heute komme ich auf die Idee, dieses Update zu installieren. Nach der erfolgreichen
Installation meldet das Tool, dass meine Lizenz dafür nicht gedacht ist, siehe Anhang,
und nun startet das Programm nicht mehr. (Ich benutze es täglich!)

So, warum kann die Installationsroutine nicht VOR der Installation prüfen, ob die Lizenz
OK ist und mich dann ggf. warnen?

Vor allen Dingen - warum ist meine Lizenz für 2017 gültig und für 2017 Patch 2 plötzlich nicht mehr?
