Hallo,
 
2 von 3 Nutzern haben bei uns das Problem, dass die Anmeldedaten nach kürzerer oder längerer Zeit verloren gehen oder nicht mehr greifen. In den Ordnern ist eine Anmeldung angegeben und trotzdem wird beim Doppelklick auf die Server nach Anmeldedaten gefragt. Beim Rechtsklick auf den Server und „Verbinden als“ funktionieren die selben Anmeldedaten allerdings. Beim Rechtsklick auf den Server -> Eigenschaften sind die Anmeldedaten bei „Vererbte Daten“ angezeigt.

Will it be possible to do an export from ASGRD (connections and credentials) via ASGRD PowerShell to a password protected RDE file?
- In that way we can make a scheduled backup of all public connections and credentials in case somebody deletes something by mistake.

Will it be possible to select what to import from an exported RDE file?
- In that way we can restore only what we need.

Right now we need to restore the entire database, export what we need to RDE and then import.

We are using ASG Remote Desktop 2017 (version 10.1.5713.0)

It is quite common that we will double-click an RDP connection, and the tab opens, but it is stuck at a colored screen with a “Reconnect” button.

However if I connect using the built-in Windows RDP client, it works just fine.  Only ASG RD has any issue.

The problem seems to be more frequent when I am connecting to remote systems with a higher latency.

This affects multiple users on multiple computers. All Windows 10.

Any ideas?

Guten Tag

Einige Benutzer bei uns haben mehrmals pro Tag das Problem, dass sie die Verbindung zur Datenbank verlieren. 
Das Ganze läuft wie folgt ab:
Erst reagiert ASG nicht mehr und man kann zwischen den offenen Fenstern nicht länger hin und her switchen. Dann kommt der erste Fehler, welcher aussagt, dass keine Verbindung hergestellt werden konnte (Fehler-1).

Danach wechselt man automatisch in den Offline Modus. Nun möchte man die Verbindung wiederherstellen, was nicht geht (Fehler-2).

Erst beim dritten Versuch klappt der Verbindungsaufbau wieder.
Während diesem Vorgang können andere Benutzer ohne Probleme auf der gleichen DB weiterarbeiten.
Die Datenbank ist im gleichen Subnetz wie der Terminalserver, auf welchem unsere Benutzer arbeiten. 
Ich sehe keine Fehlermeldungen, weder im Eventlog von TS und SQL Server noch im SQL-Log selbst.
Der SQL Server ist während dieser Zeit auch nicht maximal ausgelastet.

Wie entstehen diese Unterbrüche und wie kann ich diese verhindern?

Using AGG-RemoteDesktop 2017 10.1.5713.0, the VNC protocol will not connect to any Macs (10.13.2, machines set to remote management, with VNC password enabled) -  (error: Failed to connect to server - Error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it). Component check shows VNC working correctly (green checkmark)

But the same machine can use RealVNC to connect no problem. Tried all the encoding options, but nothing. Also turned off firewalls. Connecting to Macs with ASG has always been flakey, but with 2017, now its completely broken.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

I've just treied to install ASG 2018 x64 , but I saw that it stilluses the x86 folder.
not that it won't work this way but it not the correct way x64 programs should use the "C:\Program Files" folder while 32 bit uses the 'C:\Program Files (x86)" folder.
this might be to your installer that still things it's a x86 program.

I was testing the application and I notced that the 32 bit version takes 50 seconds to show the UI as 55 seconds for the 64 bit.
The 32-bit version shows the UI, as the 64 starts minimized.
but then the 32b is usabe after 1min 39 sec to 1min 28 sec for the 64 bit.
but you have to look for it as it starts minimized, even if you change the shortcut to start maximized.
And I found no option to control this.

I'm trying to integrate Thycotic Sectret Server with Visionapp.
It seems I cannot use SSL in the webservice URL?

Hi

Ich habe ASGRD 17 mit SQL installiert und kürzlich auf 18 geupdatet.
Es funktioniert bei fast allen Benutzern einwandfrei.

Jedoch können sich 2 Benutzer nicht einloggen. Dieses Problem bestand schon vor dem update zu 18.
Diese Benutzer sind in der gleichen AD-Gruppe (Domain Admins) und auch im ASG in der gleichen Gruppe, wie andere Benutzer die sich problemlos einloggen können.
Sie bekommen die Meldung: Verbingung zur DB nicht möglich.
Jedoch haben die 2 Benutzer Lokale Admin Rechte auf dem Server wo sich die DB befindet.

Ich kann mir nicht erklären wieso diese Benutzer nicht reinkommen.

Habt ihr irgendwelche Tips für mich?

Hi,

I looked in the documentation and in the forum on the recommanded database configuration without succes so I ask the question here. I hope this is not answered somewhere else.

From reading the documentation it appears that in database mode you can use a standard SQL server or a SQL Express server. I want to use ASG remote desktop database to share connections between a small group of users ( maximum 10) with something like 300 to 400 connexions in the database. I have few questions:
1) Would the SQL Express database be sufficient for this purpose or is it recommanded to use full SQL server
2) If I use the SQL Express database. Do i need to use the ASG installer with sql express only to create the database or would all the client connecting to the DB require to be installed from the installer with SQLExpress?

I am in the process of trying to build out a new database to support migrating from 2016 to 2018. I have been looking for some guidance on how to stand up the new database, export config settings from 2016, and import them into 2018. Any help would be appreciated.

Move Up/Down option is grayed out for some folders and connects. I can still drag the folder or connect to the order I want. But the folder/connect moves back after close and reopen the program, even I have un-ticked "sort alphabetically" option.

Ich habe da mal eine Frage zum Lizenzmodell hinter ASG.

Derzeit haben wir eine Lizenz für 16 Admins.

Wie muss ich das verstehen bzw. was bedeutet Admins in dem Moment?
Sind die Admins alle die das Programm nutzen oder nur die "Admins" im ASG und die "normalen" Benutzer benötigen keine Lizenz?

Hello,

I have last version of the Remote Desktop software (11.0.5865).

I have configured VNC connection but i have the "unhandled error" error message (print screen attached) every time i start the connection.

I have tried a lot configuration but the result is the same.

Can i check something or it is a bug?

Hello, it's ChengJian YE, a new ASG RD / Visionapp admin in a company.

The current ASG RD / Visionapp handled over to me is v2012, which didn't support Win2K12/16 well.
And SQL server is v2008 on a Win2K8 server, which should be retired because of Microsoft policy.

So I plan to update / migrate both client version and SQL server.
Can ASG guys give a hand?

1. Client software
    1) What is current ASG RD / Visionapp client version? to support both Win7 & Win10.
    2) Does the current version support multi-language? If multi-language supported, how to configure which language in use?
    3) How can I find / download the installation package?

2. SQL server
    1) The only SQL server supplied by DBA team is "SQL server 2016 with SP1", is this version ok?
    2) The SQL server should be on a standalone server, or just an exclusive instance is ok?
    3) Latin1_General_CI_AS (recommended by DBA team, and is current SQL 2008 setting) or SQL_Latin1_General_CP1-CI_AS ?
    4) Is it possible to migrate the Database on old SQL server 2008 directly to new SQL server 2K16, such as a script?
    5) It's told that a script is required to create new database on SQL server v2008. Is a script still required on current version?
